Ojah has its own production location in Ochten, where flour from plant based protein is processed into a high-quality meat alternative. This is done with a technique developed by Ojah. This technique is known as “High Moisture Extrusion”. Under high pressure and temperature, water is mixed with plant based protein flour. In the machine, the desired fiberization is obtained by a certain combination of friction and shearing. The result is a meat-free product with a fleshy texture, unique bite and tenderness.
