Ojah has its own production location in Ochten, where flour from plant-based protein is processed into a high-quality meat alternative. This is done with a technique developed by Ojah. This technique is known as “High Moisture Extrusion”. Under high pressure and temperature, water is mixed with plant-based protein flour. In the machine, the desired fiberization is obtained by a certain combination of friction and shearing. The result is a meat-free product with a fleshy texture, unique bite and tenderness.
